Welcome in the heart of the Alps!

The Tarentaise Valley in the Savoy region of France is home to some of the most famous ski areas in the world. Val-d'Isere, Courchevel, La Plagne and more are all right here.

The Tarentaise Valley can be traversed using lift system network, which lead you the most beautiful spots on the backsides of the resorts, which remain undeveloped because they are in the Vanoise National Park.

For 6 days, we'll ski across glaciers, down untouched snowfields, through forests and down the valley floor to the villages below. You'll enjoy the famous Savoyard hospitality, and your bags will be waiting for you in 3 cozy family-run hotels at the end of each day. Every day your guide chooses the best itinerary to make the most of the local snow and weather conditions.

So come have a glass of wine with the locals.  Taste their Savoyard specialties while you discover the wild regions of the beautiful Tarentaise. Your great off-piste skiing adventure awaits!

We have chosen cozy hotels conveniently located next to the big industrial ski resort. Each place of stay is run by a local family that has played its part in the history of the valley. All these hotels have been recently refurnished and offer a great stay. Each dinner will be sort of a feast, well deserved after a good day in the mountains.

As we will be staying in 3 different places, one night without baggage transfer, be sure to pack what you need during the week in one bag, which is light and practical.

HOTEL LE MONAL in Sainte Foy en Tarentaise. This lively hotel run by a local family in a classic Savoy village is the meeting place for the inhabitants of the upper valley. Very comfortable, it offers many amenities, including a ski room and web connections in the rooms. Yves, the owner, will show you his cellar, he loves wine!

HOTEL OXIGÈNE in Valmorel is a charming hotel. In addition to the beautiful open fire place in the restaurant you will appreciate a tasty dinner.

REFUGE DU BOIS in Champagny le haut is a very confortable mountain hut. Our host will cook a great typical meal made with local ingredients. Dormitory sleeping. Hot shower available.

From the top of a ski lift, we traverse, hike or skin away from the ski resort to find the secret passages that reward us with descents up to 2000 meters vertical (over 6000 vertical feet) on virgin slopes even after several days of good weather.

Your guides will adapt the daily programme according to your skills and mood.

Plan to have extra clothing and gear in your rucksack each day, which will enable you to adapt to all changes in temperature and weather.
